It seems like i haven't updated about checking into Temasek Hall so here's sum info. Well, i got up at ard 5.30 in the morning cos we wanted to avoid the jam. By the time we reached there it was around 7 n office onli opens at 8.30 (not 10 as i tot originally) so me n my dad just loitered at the office lounge area until the ppl came in. So i became the 1st person to check in dat day n the clerk even asked me y did i come so early lol. Partly was because my dad still has to rush bck for work ltr lar. Well, fortunately i got a single room! So happy! Hahaha the room is spacious enuf for me lar just dat it took me sum time to clean the whole place up as well as unpack my stuff. Apparently jean is staying at temasek too onli in different blocks! Oh ya i realised theres like 2 mattresses in my room so anyone who wans to bunk in wif me in the future can do so w/o having to sleep on the hard floor lol! I tink xiao j shud be happy to hear tis haha.
There was nth on the whole day though apparently there was tis tok meant for international students at LT7 engin faculty. My fellow msian fren n ex-sec classmate ee wuen came to meet me while i was unpacking (he checked in at eusoff on monday) n den we both went to LT7 though the tok was over liao cos there was food!!!! Hahaha so basically there's free lunch lar n it was pretty good 2! There's another tok (the same 1) but tis time meant for PGP international students (morning one was for hall students) at 2 so me n ee wuen just took the free shuttle bus n went "sight-seeing" ard the campus. Ltr met bharat n nishanth at the tok n it was great seeing them again after so long! :)
I also met.........ok now i've forgotten her name......ermmm its dat ks's fren lar....the gal frm tennis i tink......nw in mechanical eng.......wats her name ar.......AHHHHH i rmb but i dunno hw to spell......it sounds sth like chiau kun.........wif her bf i tink.....also met sue-lynn.
Came bck after all the toks cos there was nth up till monday. Goin bck ltr tonite.....
Gonna be buying a laptop during matriculation day n i tink i'll apply for the NUS loan for laptops......max u can borrow is S$2000!!!!!! But u must buy frm the shop at NUS lar.......they're offering 5 different brands like Acer, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Apple and Lenovo. Dunno y dun have Dell or Sony or even HP........nvm........i dunno much abt these com stuff aneway but i tink most prob i'll buy a lenovo wan.......both models offered are at most S$2300 so if i can get the max loan onli need to fork out additional 300 bucks. I dun like Acer n i'm not accustomed to a macbook......i used to like fujitsu n toshiba but according to my fren fujitsu is nth to shout abt n toshiba is veri ex. So left lenovo lor.......u guys shud hv heard of lenovo bah........? Dat china company who bought over IBM........since IBM had always had a pretty good reputation i figured their products can be trusted bah.......
