Ok.............was absent for so long frm blogging cos was at union camp...started off at tuesday n already it was sort of like a bad beginning for me cos cudn't locate kent ridge hall....was wif loo chin sitting like 2 idiots in the bus and didn't noe where to get off..........finally made it there in 1 piece though we were late but as expected loads of others were later than us lol...
The camp was pretty fun and interesting for me, though the OGLs n sum of my frens have commented dat it wasnt as fun as last years's one or even sum of the other camps be4 it..........i dunno much abt such comparison lar cos this is my 1st such camp in a long long time.....but i do noe dat i had fun n met loads of great ppl! So ya pretty glad dat i went for union camp afterall! :)
The camp, like many others, was really really tiring. It was meant to be tiring lar i guess so no complaints there. Cos u wud appear to be like an out-cast or not sociable if u alone went to sleep while the rest continues to chat n play games though everyone yearns terribly for their comfortable beds. The events go on all day though much improvement cud be used to try n maintain the events being packed 2gether and not causing hour long breaks in btw different events.....dat was like the downfall of the camp bah......nevertheless still enjoyed it a lot.
1st day began after lunch wif treasure hunt n me being the person wif extreme foresight indeed had my prophecy fall thru wif that 1 dreaded game: guys take off their shirts n pas it to the gals who use them to soak up water n then try n squeeze the water out for the guys to catch using miserable cups..........its really like the one we played during orientation at tj lar.........so dat was the 1st event where i took off my shirt....much to my dismay of course...why? Cos 95% of the guys who participated in union camp had 6 packs....! AND I AM NOT EXAGGERATING! If u dun believe me pls go n ask xin yi.......and the 6 packs dun just limit themselves to the freshies.....the OGLs n councilors have them 2........i'm like so freaking out of place can......
And worst still....my blister burst during the treasure hunt so i had to endure the pain thruout the ENTIRE camp....dat includes walking on sand, entering sea water, running bare-footed on the tracks as well as going thru mud n pool water........all sorts of exotic treatment lar....just dat these treatments actually make things worst than betta. At least it wasn't at a veri conspicuous position so still can tahan.....
After the treasure hunt was.......ermmmm ok cant rmb wat we had for nite.....
So next day, it was pool games till evening. Pretty fun though once again it was another event where we had to take off our clothes... Actually i had to take off my shirt pretty much once everyday lor.... ok nvm not impt.... so pool games was ok...not so tiring...den came SP nite...SP refering to secret pal...where each guy is paired up wif a gal whom we dunno....so we were blindfolded n den led to a place n sat dwn to chat wif each other...while the OGLs made fun of us asking us to feed each other w/o using our hands to guide the other person etc etc....
OHHHHH! Ok i rmbered wat we did for the 1st nite....we were supposed to put up a skit....like a short drama production.....ours was a total flop....and when i say flop, i mean FLOP........
Ok 3rd day.....it was sentosa day so no surprises there - clothes off once again. Sentosa was really tiring actually but ultimately it was still fun. Nite time though was Fright-nite. Its sth i've onli been thru once in a camp when i was 14, n dat 2 was pretty different. In this case, we were paired up (boy n gal) den we r supposed to go thru different stations where the OGLs all act as ghost to scare us while making us complete a task or mission.....sounds veri mild hor? Not when the place is isolated, completely dark, there's just u n her, and the OGLs are all in make-up.....there was 1 station which was tis bungalow....n its like freaking isolated cos there wasnt any other active buildings around except for loads n loads of trees...den the whole bungalow is empty save for the "ghosts" n u were supposed to explore the whole place n do stuff.....haih....quite scary.....nvr tot NUS got such isolated places....
4th day was Wargames where we had to put on face paint n go thru game stations again. Last game events liao so we went all out. Really enjoyed the wargames as compared to the other game events. Nite time was "Chiong Nite"....just a euphemism for clubbing lar actually....but the catch is dat we'll be meeting up wif our SPs.....not gonna elaborate much here save for the fact dat my SP was pretty chio...oh ya...sum freshies n OGLs got drunk 2.... :P Iswear i aint touching any other alcoholic drink again save sparkling wine, shandy n the occasional beer....vodka n martini just aint my stuff....
Basically slept like an average of 3 hours everyday.....like the ns boys enjoy saying: was damn shag! We broke camp during noon on the 5th day n i went str8 to my uncle's house to put my stuff cos meeting up wif the class ltr for dinner at marina but i overslept! $@&678$%@#&^$891264^^$@&*89 Luckily still managed to meet up wif ks n made it in time for dinner though i wasnt veri hungry cos had a pretty late lunch. Met up wif serena, chai yun, kiki, xin yi, arvin, ks, jason, ozy n xiao j so it was worth the rushafterall haha! :)
Came bck to jb on sunday morning to continue wif all the moving. New house rawks though theres still so much to do. My internet's not on yet so im actuall writting these stuff in my dad's office......
I dunno whether i shud take up USP or not...my interview session has been scheduled on the 27th, which is supposed to be the day i report to hall....so if i really intend to take up USP i have to check in earlier....worst still, i tink im gonna be given a double room lar..........I WAN A SINGLE ROOM! And i tink xiao j wans me to get a single room 2 so he can crash haha! :P
So far union camp has been an experience to behold....but for 1 reason or another im not exactly lookin forward to hall camp haha cos they say its gonna be even more tiring than union......haih i treasure my sleep a lot wan hor........but wateva lar i tink these stuff onli last for the 1st few months of the 1st sem so as long as i get thru em den everything shud be smooth n easy liao! :)
Haven booked my happy rotter book yet......eh wait shud be harry potter.....n i also haven caught the movie yet.....so most prob gonna do both within tis week. No pics up at the moment cos cannot do so at my dad's office so just have to wait lor......
