I didn't realise it's elections day already until Ee Wuen told me Samy Vellu lost his seat (state or parliament i dun really noe....or care.....all i noe is dat HE LOST!) Naturally i was quite shocked (or not depending on how you see it) cos on one hand he has been the incumbent for god knows how many years already but on the other hand seeing how he dealt with the indian riot fiasco earlier on and had his popularity drop straight like Michael Jackson's masculinity it's really not much of a surprise the PEOPLE didn't want him back for another term.......

Well, shock defeats to many BN candidates this year apparently.........and not really for the worse cos you have to hand them an ultimatum at some point....if not they won't have the incentives/motivation to do a better job right? I mean i haven really been that interested in politics but seeing that i'll soon qualify to vote and there has been so much complaints lately about how young people nowadays have been largely indifferent to politics drove me on to pay just a bit more attention to what's going on in our local political arena......

Well, actually depending on where you grew up, you get certain ideas placed into your head about who you should be supporting during the elections. Having been a JB bred rascal all my life (be4 i came to spore) and JB being a BN stronghold all this while (the whole of Johor in fact), of course i thought that the most natural thing to do was to vote for BN! I mean they have always been the party in charged so what could go wrong? That and the fact that both my parents used to be civil servants... But then that was during the time when i didn't know much of anything......and even when i grew up more, i tend to ignore or jump over articles in the papers when it concerns politics and stuff........so out of sight, naturally out of mind.........

But nowadays, as u grow older, and when certain reports are made known to you, it's no longer that easy to just ignore them like that. You feel frustrated that certain things work the way they do and that the current government is involved doesn't make things better..... Like how construction tenders have a strange tendency to fall into the hands of construction companies either owned or affiliated with the ruling government/political party/chief minister etc etc....or the kind of decisions made by the people in power regarding certain issues you feel strongly about.....

So.........now that i noe things doesn't really seem to be what they appear to be, it's very hard to convince me that voting for BN is the only way to go. Well i certainly know i wun be voting for PAS that's for sure, or any other opposition party in the near future, but that's either because i know that some opposition parties may not be better than BN in the 1st place or that i haven done my homework about what they can do for me had i voted for them. But the point is BN seems to be getting for bad to worse.............all the BERSIH campaign and political/pre-elections stunts are for show only is that it? When will they finally be able to do a good job? Or is that just a wishful thinking regarding politicians...?

They need to buck up...and maybe certain changes are sorely required....like what another blogger said (he's a caucasian living in msia i tink) why the heck does msia need political parties formed according to races in the very 1st place? Why must Chinese approach MCA and MCA only when they need help? And the same for Indians to MIC and Malays to UMNO? Why can't MALAYSIANS help MALAYSIANS ? And all that personal attacks on each other during the pre-election period? Why all the talk about what the other party can't do or achieve and not what YOUR PARTY CAN DO OR ACHIEVE?

Hey don't look at me.......look at them.........as usual they're making a fool out of themselves but as responsible citizens we still have to vote right....?

Ok enough of this heavy stuff......i need a holiday a holiday A HOLIDAY! I realise (or maybe u did too) that i've constantly been rambling about having holidays here but that's because i just can't get enough of traveling.........and they're made worse when i read about other people's travelling experiences on their blogs.........mum says may go Phuket so i really hope it's gonna happen! Or maybe if they're feeling wealthy we could go Goldcoast cos airasia got cheap tix........

CABAL is taking up a lot of my time..........
