Kian Yew, Kevin and Steve came over to JB yesterday noon for some fun since everyone's exams were over (except poor Ming Jun lol....) Luckily my mum didn't need the car so told them to take a taxi to my house since firstly, I didn't noe how to describe the place I normally wait for my parents to pick me up and secondly, my house is so damn near........

Took them to Bamboo for lunch cos it was on the way to Permas Jaya anyway.......and I thought heck so many Singaporeans like to go there must be for a reason right...?! Turns out the food ok only lar......Should have brought them to Ah Seng there......cheaper and faster too...........

They wanted to go Go-Karting, which is at Permas Jaya.....never been there before though I've sent my eldest bro there once.........turns out they moved when we reached!! Thought they closed down already until I spotted a small little sighboard at the side of the road giving instructions to their new location but it was 9km away!!! And we had to traverse throught an oil palm plantation with untarred road filled with pot holes, gravel, COWS, oil palm fruits and god knows what to reach there!!! I wanted to turn back halfway lar but the bloody road so small no place to make U-Turn also.....tot we kena conned lar then when we arrive there will be an army of parang-wielders kidnapping us and stealing my car....................lol how imaginative I am sia.....

In the end, after some torturous driving (I think i was driving at like 30 or 40km/h cos of the road condition....or else the car's suspension sure gone liao......) we finally arrived at the Go-Kart circuit.......AND IT REALLY IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A BLOODY OIL PALM PLANTATION WITH ONE AND ONLY ONE ENTRANCE AND EXIT!!! Cos we were speculating in the car that there has to be another entrance or exit somewhere inside other than the one we were using.....but turns out, it was all our wishful thinking........

But I gotta say, the Go-Karting experience was AWESOME! Stay in JB so freaking long liao din even noe the BEST Go-Kart Circuit was in JB lar.........!!! The one in Genting's like a baby's version compared to this.......the circuit is so much bigger, with sloped terrain, lots of challenging turns and the bloody Go-Kart goes so much MUCH more faster!!! And it feels so much exhillarating like that cos there's not much protection in a Go-KArt unlike a car where you're surounded by metal....so when you really speed things up it gets so much more fun!! Especially when you're on the verge of "accidentally" drifting when you sweep a corner cos if you really "buang" then you're gone hahahahaha cos it's more of like you're wrapping the vehicle with your flesh and bone rather than the other way round!

The price was RM30 for a 10 minute cycle. And apparently the price hasn't changed after all these years according to Kevin who was at his 4th visit.........See lar Singaporean also come 4th time liao and me born and bred in JB din even noe this much fun existed so near my doorstep (if I was still still staying in my old house).

We went twice cos after the first run we just couldn't stop! It was damn fun lar but I always end up as the last one cos I can't really sweep the corners like them since I am so "heavy".....bo bian have to break a little instead of just letting go of the acceleration when I'm reaching the corners or else sure buang.........I slided at one of the corners in the first run and nearly lost control of the bloody car after that hahahahaha! Kevin even worst he went too fast at one of the corners and the whole car spinned several rounds onto the grass eventually i think lol.............

That's one of the pro's.....cos they are having a race on Sunday so he was test driving I think....he went REALLY fast........even at the corners..........

Kevin sleeping on the way back......he said he wanted to Bi Mu Yang Shen.....

For Kian Yew, I'm saying he's just plain sleeping lar......

I came back with them to Singapore in the evening cos still have some last few committee stuff to handle..........the A3 peeps were having a dinner outing that night too and I tagged along since I go to A3 so often anyway and I know most of them as well........lol the odd one out can everyone either from A3 or from block A in general....I was the only one from Block E lor hahahaha......

We went to Holland V's Crystal Jade La Mian and Xiao Long Bao restaurant. They've already made a reservation or else Friday night sure don't need to enter one......cos their Steamboat and Xiao Long Bao (freeflow) buffet is damn famous and everyone wants to eat FREEFLOW OF XIAO LONG BAO!!!

All in all there were 12 of us........Kevin, Ming Jun, Kian Yew, Steve, Dominic, Me, Pavel, Jie Ren, Teshil, Ashwin, Germaine and Qian Wen. But it was a mistake to have 12 people share 1 bloody steamboat pot man............they freaking ordered and ordered AND ORDERED until we had so much food that we couldn't finish.............the whole pot of soup was filled with meat, fishballs, mushrooms and god knows what else and we just stared at it in disgust cos none of us could take another bite......and they ordered so MUCH of mutton and dumped EVERYTHING into the soup to cook......the soup eventually smelt so strongly of the odour of the meat.....chinese calls it "Yang Sao Wei".............Ashwin picked up a piece of mutton and smelt it and said "Wah it smells like TOILET lar!!!"...................Can you blame us for not having any appetite to force-feed ourselves the remainder of the pot.....???

But the Xiao Long Bao was damn nice that's for sure...............and the beginning of the steamboat buffet was equally enjoyable...........cos the meat and everything else is also free-flow (a bit like the last time when we went for the Tian Tian Huo Guo thingy at Bugis with 11/05) and everything was very fresh..........especially the prawns!!! Which unfortunately wasn't free-flow.........but that was the only thing that wasn't............and frankly with the number of items available on the menu you wouldn't pay too much attention to just the pranws anyway.....

Lol but the whole dinner was damn funny..........so many things to laugh about......like how our 2 soup steamboat pot eventually merges into 1 single soup which flavour we could no longer discern........and the Mauritius way of eating Xiao Long Bao as demonstrated to us again and again by Teshil.........though everyone was cursing by the end of the buffet cos of over-eating, it was a nice experience all in all........... :)

Yup....even the ingredients are cooked half in this "soup" and half in the other....that shows you how united our 2-soup steamboat is......don't even know what flavour it is anymore......

XIAO LONG BAOS!!!

But I guess I'm staying away from steamboats for quite some time......
