So this has been a super long overdue post, but then again I've been too addicted to Mousehunt and Mythmonger lately......

Finally, the JB Food Trip took place. I wud have prefered it to stretch over more than just 1 day but then having a common free time is somehow almost impossible even during the holidays... Hmmmm......... Never mind that just yet... And so, Arvin, Xinyi and Kah Sing came down to pay me (or rather, the food) a visit. Arvin drove in, which made things easier for all of them.

First visit was to Ah Kun Guo Tiao since Xinyi has been raving about their fishcake ever since JC lol.... I like it too plus I haven been there for a very long time ever since I moved into the new house. Everything still tastes the same, which is good :) And I dun really think anyone can ever get enough of the fishcake lar :D

They (note: Kah Sing) wanted to eat as much as they can since it's just a day trip, so we didn't really eat a full meal at Ah Kun's. The Bak Kut Teh shop was just around the corner to Ah Kun's so that was where I brought them to next. I've always had Bak Kut Teh at this outlet even though there were a few around my area that were equally good. I like their Mei Chai the most out of all the places I've tried, but apparently I'm the only one who likes it.... -_-

And the 3rd stop for lunch (Note: We're STILL on lunch...) was the "very famous" Paper-Wrapped Chicken from Bamboo Restaurant. It's especially popular among Singaporeans who probably find the price justifiable but definitely not for the locals.... I admit their chicken is good but you can probably find equally nice paper-wrapped chickens at many other restaurants nowadays.... It's kinda like the curry-in-bread fad.... Other restaurants catch up easily and before you know it, everyone produces about the same stuff. Anyway, we ordered a Prawn Omellete as well if I'm not mistaken. It was really really REALLY a lot of food just for lunch......

We headed for Ice Kacang after that and of course, there's only one place I wud bring them. I dun really know if their standard has deteriorated over the years even though I've been eating their Ice Kacang since kindergarden, but I do realize that after not having it for such a long time, it tasted REALLY good! :)

Brought them to AEON Tebrau City (Jusco) after that for some shopping and some much-needed walking to digest the food.... But in the end we stopped by Secret Recipe for MORE food...!!! Had some cakes while Arvin and Kah Sing shared a bowl of Tom-Yam noodles as extra!! Monsters I tell you.... Monsters..!!! o.O

Finally for dinner, we initially had some plans for it. Brought them to Peking Restaurant at Taman Sentosa since I felt like eating the Kou Rou Bao, and I still like it a lot. Ordered half a Pecking Duck too since it was supposedly their specialty but it was not as good as I expected it to be... Also ordered the Sambal Potatoe Leaves which is absolutely my all-time favourite vegetable EVER... Plus a Hot-Plate Tofu too...

Kah Sing wanted to try the road-side stalls but I was lazy to find a parking and I hated the hot weather too... Initially wanted to try out Lok-Lok which Arvin said he just had a few days ago but the van was not operating that night... That tried to go to another coffeeshop which Arvin says sells nice chicken wings but it was closed.... So in the end I brought them back for Ikan Bakar, the same place we brought my dad's uni frens too when they came down for a food trip about a month ago. It was good, though I still find their sambal to be too hot for my liking. But I lurve their deep-fried baby crab dish! :D

In the end all 3 of them spent the night at my house, and thus all the weird pictures taken... It has been a long time since I've had a sleepover and this is probably the 1st time anyone has had a sleepover at my house, but I enjoyed it a lot :D

And this is my favorite picture of the night :)
